News and Updates |

The Center for Death Penalty Litigation has graciously "donated" all of their motions for use by Criminal Defense Section members, concerning virtually every aspect of a capital case that you will encounter (and applicable in many instances to non-capital cases). Just go to the Online Trial Notebook, scroll down to Chapter W - CDPL Motions, and there you are!
Read the IDS Press Release on the "North Carolina Performance Guidelines for Indigent Representation in Non-Capital Criminal Cases at the Trial Level." The press release explains the guidelines and their purpose, and includes a link to the guidelines themselves. You can also find the guidelines in the section's Online Trial Notebook (Chapter V).
